Rust Colored Hot Water?

Smiles :) asked:

I have rust colored hot water. Since it is just the hot water, I am inclined to say it has something to do with the hot water heater. Are there any physical or health issues associated with bathing or drinking it? How difficult is it to get rid of? Since I am renting, is it something that the landlord “has” to fix? I know that is a judgement call, but I guess I am looking for input on that. When I moved in, I was told it was because the hot water hadnt been used in a month and should clear out and run clean in a little while – well it has been two months, and it is still like I am bathing in dirty water. Help please.

there is an outside spicket that works but the water that goes through the house is not working. a little bit of rusty colored water comes out of the faucet and then nothing at all. not sure if somethings clogged or what?

Water on bathroom floor with bright blue substance in it?

wildmick21 asked:

We discovered a puddle of water on our bathroom floor between the toilet and the outside wall. The water has a bright blue substance in it. We carefully checked around the base of the toilet – no water and no bright blue color. We checked the basement – no sign of leaks of the bright blue color. It almost appears that the water came from the outside wall but we aren’t certain of that. Plumbers and carpenters – any advice on where the water may have come from and what the blue substance is?
